T have not been faring well of late.  With a decided downturn in people relying on drugs to live day to day and turning instead to healthier lifestyles, probiotic foods, and a new emphasis and renaissance in exercising, the pharmaceutical companies have seen a decided shortfall in profits.

For Merck, there is an even more important freefall when it comes to stock gains and that primarily stems from two very important admissions by the Fake News Industrial Complex recently.  One admission by the Wexner Medical Center at Ohio State University admitted that the flu vaccinations that have been administered over decades have been largely ineffective due in part to the methodology used by research groups to formulate the serums.  In fact, people who were vaccinated were just as likely to get the flu as those who were not!

The other admission came through the New York Times that printed a story regarding how the Scripps Research Institute lambasted Merck pharmaceutical for its false and misleading studies that helped to perpetuate the myth that both measles and mumps vaccinations were 100% effective.  This was the big one, considering that a lawsuit brought by the FDA through outside groups calling for transparency (that included two virologist whistleblowers from Merck itself) concluded that the company had falsified reports and research in order to monopolize the market and sell is vaccinations through this means!

That freefall in the Merck has precipitated a rather transparent move on the part of the medical community to come to the rescue of pharmaceutical companies by pushing sales of high blood pressure medications on doctors and their patients throughout the country!  How have they done this?  By lowering the threshold of high blood pressure limits that suddenly makes yesterday’s healthy individuals today sick with high blood pressure!

The disciple John, while writing the Book of Revelations, reprimanded a series of churches for their straying from Christian principles, one being the Church of Pergamos.  Unrealized today by many Christians is that the city of Pergamum, once upon a time, was the seat of authority in medicine.  Doctors who studied medicine there were renowned for their knowledge.  The library there was the second largest in the world, only to Alexandria, and boasted over 200K volumes.

What is important about the Christian movement there is that this city was also the preeminent purveyor of apology doctrine that basically merged Christianity almost seamlessly with paganism.  In order for the church to draw in and consolidate pagans, it adopted many of the ritualistic natures of the heathen people and scooped them up out in its quest for spiritual dominance, however watered down it would eventually become.  This infusive technique existed even in Rome as the Catholic Church worked hard to affect the same endeavor.  By taking in all the pagans, they guaranteed the rise of the Christians to unprecedented levels.

Pergamos (also called Pergamon or Pergamum) was situated 60 kilometres past Smyrna along the ancient Roman postal road. The name means “elevation” or “exalted.” Appropriately, the religious and cultural center of the city was on top of a conspicuous mount.

Pergamos inherited the ancient system of sun worship from Babylon. According to Revelation 2:13, Pergamos was Satan’s seat. It was a center of ancient sun worship, and the place where the famous altar of Zeus stood on a terrace on the slopes of the mount.

The leader of Pergamos used the same ancient title and vestments as Babylonian priests. The last pontiff king of Pergamos was Attalus III, who bequeathed his title to Rome in 133 BC, which “ended the history of Pergamum as an independent political entity.”

Today, the city of Bergama lies at the base of the mountain on which Pergamos once sat. Excavations nearby have uncovered a vast complex which included two temples, a theater, and a medical library. Some of the most famous physicians practiced here. The medical symbol was a serpent wrapped around a pole—very similar to the symbol representing medicine today.

That same medical symbol was later present in symbols of Greek and Roman mythology called a caduceus, a staff carried by Hermes and Mercury.  The symbol to Christians represents paganism and the worship of the Dark Angel.  For these reasons, many Christians are necessarily distrustful of doctors and the medical profession.

Now, the newest form of coercion may explain why.  The American Heart Association, in cooperation with the American College of Cardiology, have inexplicably lowered the threshold of high blood pressure from 140/90 down to 130/80.  Why?

Many believe that this was an effort by the medical community to dig Merck and other pharmaceutical companies out of financial straits.  As of late, the big pharmaceuticals have suffered a major loss in consumer confidence and interest in medicines and prescriptions to solve every life’s inconvenience have seriously waned.  This move by the medical community stands to net the big pharmaceuticals major profits by forcing doctors to push high blood pressure medications upon their patients who were considered healthy just yesterday, but who are now viewed as seriously at risk today!

30 million Americans who woke perfectly healthy yesterday morning are now suddenly in need of expensive hypertension treatments after the American Heart Association and the American College of Cardiology decided to lower the definition of “high blood pressure” to 130/80 from the previous trigger of 140/90.  According to Reuters, the change means that nearly 50% of American adults, or roughly 100 million people, now suffer from high blood pressure.

Americans with blood pressure of 130/80 or higher should be treated, down from the previous trigger of 140/90, according to new guidelines announced on Monday by the American Heart Association and the American College of Cardiology.

At the new cutoff, around 46 percent, or more than 103 million, of American adults are considered to have high blood pressure, compared with an estimated 72 million under the previous guidelines in place since 2003.

High blood pressure accounts for the second-largest number of preventable heart disease and stroke deaths in the United States, second only to smoking.

A large, government-sponsored study of hypertension patients aged 50 and older showed in 2015 that death from heart-related causes fell 43 percent and heart failure rates dropped 38 percent when their systolic blood pressure was lowered below 120 versus those taken to a target of under 140.

But patients in the 120 systolic blood pressure group had a higher rate of kidney injury or failure, as well as fainting.

Not surprisingly, these new guidelines are expected to be a boon for pharma giants like Merck, Pfizer and Novartis who supply the world’s expensive hypertension medications.

Of course, perhaps a slight, artificial “tweaking” of their addressable market was exactly the right cure for what’s been ailing Merck’s stock of late…

If you’re still unsure of whether or not the medical community and the big pharmaceutical companies are working hand-in-claw, one need only look at profits and shortfalls for pharmaceuticals and its relationship or correlation to the changing of medical policies and thresholds for illness and the answer will be revealed.
